Dear Colleagues, please find below a message about ICED Conference in Atlanta

The Monday, March 12, 2018 call for proposals deadline is quickly approaching! We are accepting 20-minute paper presentations, posters, and 1-hour workshops or panels.

The early decision call for proposals produced 102 engaging sessions from 19 countries. Each proposal contributes to this year’s theme, Institutional Change: Voices, Identities, Power, and Outcomes in an intriguing and meaningful way. The world is going through unprecedented transitions, and education plays a vital role. Emerging and established educational development traditions around the world have much to teach and learn from each other. ICED 2018 will promote an environment where such a vibrant exchange of ideas flourishes.

We are on our way to building an exciting and substantial ICED 2018 program full of inspiring leaders in educational and academic development in higher education from around the world.

IJAD Writing Retreat Registration Open!

Members of the International Journal for Academic Development (IJAD) editorial team have announced they are going to facilitate a writing retreat as part of ICED 2018 for people writing about educational development. The retreat will take place Sunday, June 3rd – Monday, 4, 2018. Retreat participants will be placed in small writing groups to set goals and give peer feedback, all facilitated by a member of the IJAD editorial team. Retreat participants should be prepared to focus on their writing for the entire retreat, and participants should make meaningful progress on their writing during the retreat.
Registration for the 2-day writing retreat is only $125.

PreConference Workshops Schedule is Live! 

The pre-conference schedule is live with 10 enriching pre-conference workshops now available for registration. These 3-hour workshops feature some of the best names in educational development with international speakers from 7 different countries.

Pre-conference workshops are in two different timeslots, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018. Registration is required for each workshop and includes lunch for all pre-conference workshop participants.

Ariane

Ariane Dumont has developped the Center for Teaching and Learning at Yverdon Western University of Applied Sciences, she is the Academic Director of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Higher Education at the western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences HES-SO. She is serving as President of SFDN since 2017. She is a Council Member at ICED International COnsortium for Educational Development, as the representative of switzerland.
