Onsite learning at universities is not only questioned against the background of the experiences during the pandemic. Formats of “self-regulated” learning have been postulated for a long time. However, it is often underestimated how challenging this development is for students and as well as faculty. Yet the topic is discussed in a differentiated way in higher education research.
