Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching MOOC 2.0

Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching MOOC 2.0

We are again offering our university teaching MOOC. Since launching in 2018, approximately 8,000 people from 110 countries have enrolled. Following a 12 month review process the whole MOOC has been updated, with 48 expert authors contributing to the process.

Contemporary Approaches to University Teaching is a free massive open online course (MOOC). Version 2.0 sees all modules updated for 2023. We are excited to launch eight new modules, with a total of 24 modules to choose from. The new modules include:

·       Academic mentoring

·       Assessment in focus

·       First year transition

·       Gender equity in higher education

·       Leadership for learning and teaching

·       Peer review of teaching

·       Psychology of learners and learning

·       Universal design for learning

We recommend one of the four pathways: new to teaching, enhancing student learning, enhancing your teaching practice or leading learning and teaching. Study is self-paced in two-hour modules that can be completed over a semester.

The course is presented under the auspices of the Council of Australasian University Leaders in Learning and Teaching (CAULLT) and is led by A/Prof Agnes Bosanquet (Macquarie University) and A/Prof Marina Harvey.
