Follow-up of SFDN 2nd Annual Conference

Dear All,

Following our 2nd annual SFDN conference, we, the SFDN board, would like to gather good practice among our members regarding how ‘students connect with researches and the institution’s research’ (Fung 2017)

Please find below the three questions of Dr Schatz interactive workshop during the Conference. We, the board, would be very interested in gathering your institutional approach in order to write a publication and ask Dr Dilly Fung to contribute.

1.Describe an example (of your institution) where this happens in a good manner

2.How can students learn (actively) the research culture of a discipline?

3.A throughline of research activities – do you have a generic proposal?

Ariane Dumont has developped the Center for Teaching and Learning at Yverdon Western University of Applied Sciences, she is the Academic Director of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Higher Education at the western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences HES-SO. She is serving as President of SFDN since 2017. She is a Council Member at ICED International COnsortium for Educational Development, as the representative of switzerland.
