Job offer: Researcher for Evaluation of Learning Innovation (80-100%)

Your mission :

EPFL’s strategy for education puts an emphasis on evidence-based learning innovation. The range of innovative learning experiences being developed at EPFL is in constant evolution: flipped classroom, integration of generative AI, interactive notebooks, interdisciplinary projects, open makerspaces, remote experiments, and many more.

The Center for Learning Sciences implements translational research in the context of projects on innovative learning and teaching. We want innovation in education to be integrated in an evidence-based approach. Projects of innovative teaching and learning are thus to be accompanied by data collection, exploitation of literature, evaluation and testing. The results of such research work are useful to steer educational practices and education leadership decisions.

We are looking for a versatile learning / education researcher to contribute to the projects of the Center LEARN. The successful candidate will be part of a team working on the basis of a shared idea of evidence-based education.

The learning / education scientist will accompany educators in their projects of teaching and learning innovation in order to measure and understand the impact on learning processes and outcomes. While our projects can be related to any innovation in education, we plan to address specifically questions around the use of generative AI in teaching and learning.
