Purpose of SIG
The purpose of the SIG is to provide a pool of pedagogically/didactically skilled people who can assist achieve the goals of the ICED 2020 conference. These people can be members of SFDN or involved in educational development. They must be willing to volunteer time in various forms either before, during or after the conference and its associated events (such as the writing retreat, pre-conference workshops and so on). While the members of the SIG are welcome to share ideas and make suggestions to the planning committee, the ultimate decision-making authority lies with the ICED Council, the conference organising committee and the host organisation, in this case ETH Zurich.
Members of the SIG will be specifically asked to
- Review abstract submissions (max. 10). Timeline: mid to late August 2019 to late November 2019 (and recruiting more reviewers!)
- Chair sessions during the conference (15−18.06.2020 at ETH Zurich)
- Promote the conference and associated events through your networks and social media (for example by publicizing the call for contributions and the opening of conference registration)
