REMINDER!  SFDN 1st Webinar October 10 from 11h to 12h

 Series 2017/2018 – The board is pleased to launch a new way for members to connect and exchange practices with one-hour webinars that explore topics of interest to the SFDN community.  Please join us for these online sessions and if you are interested in hosting a session, please also let us know.  We look forward to your participation and feedback.

Animated videos can be used to enhance traditional teaching and learning activities, adding a creative element to introductions, concept overviews, and assessment.  In this webinar, we will briefly look at the opportunities for the pedagogical uses of animated videos from a faculty member viewpoint and also from a learner viewpoint.  Then we will explore GoAnimate, one digital tool to create animated videos, focusing on real-world examples and application.  If you are not familiar with animated videos, click here to see a sample.  The webinar will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 11h00 – 12h00Please sign up for the webinar using this link.  Further details and instructions for accessing the online session will be sent after registration.  Please contact Rachel Plews with any questions – Rachel.plews@ehl.ch.

Ariane Dumont has developped the Center for Teaching and Learning at Yverdon Western University of Applied Sciences, she is the Academic Director of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Higher Education at the western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences HES-SO. She is serving as President of SFDN since 2017. She is a Council Member at ICED International COnsortium for Educational Development, as the representative of switzerland.
