Digital Education Specialist (EPFL)

“Excellence in Africa” is a new program launched by EPFL, designed to have a lasting impact in Africa:
– By creating a solid ground for research excellence and innovation through a network of highly qualified young professors based in Africa;
– By anchoring the collaboration within the African partner institutions;
– By increasing the visibility of EPFL and Switzerland in Africa, to attract talent and conduct quality research;
– By supporting the digital transformation of Africa.

The program is based on three pillars: (1) development of junior African Faculty through joint research projects with EFPL professors, (2) tutoring of 100 PhD students enrolled in African universities and, (3) Digital Education. https://recruiting.epfl.ch/Vacancies/1848/Description/2

Ariane

Ariane Dumont has developped the Center for Teaching and Learning at Yverdon Western University of Applied Sciences, she is the Academic Director of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Higher Education at the western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences HES-SO. She is serving as President of SFDN since 2017. She is a Council Member at ICED International COnsortium for Educational Development, as the representative of switzerland.
